Best 4-Stage RO Systems 🥇

Top 6 Best 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis Systems 🥇(2021 Review)

Last Updated: 25 July 2021

In this article, we’re going to be talking about the best 4-stage reverse osmosis water systems that are available on the market.

Reverse osmosis systems are used to remove poisonous substances, contaminants, bacteria, and much more from our water supply, so that the drinking water is clean and able to be consumed in a safe way.

4-stage RO units have four individual filtering stages, which are used in combination to remove these substances, contaminants, and bacteria.

If you’re worried about the quality of drinking water in your home or commercial environment, experts are also giving even more reasons to be concerned.

Why? Well, between 1982 and 2015, millions of Americans got their drinking water from a source that was in violation of the Safe Drinking Act.

And even now, researchers at the nonprofit Environmental Working Group and Northeastern University found out last year that at least 43 US states have sites where toxic fluorinated compounds known as PFAs contaminate drinking water.

That they make your tap water safe to drink isn’t the only reason why you might want to invest in a high-quality tanked or tankless RO system.

These water filters also improve the taste of your water, eliminate up to 99% of all contaminants, neutralize any odors, and improve its quality.

Watts Premier RO-Pure – 4 Stage – Under Sink – $

Features

The RO Pure Reverse Osmosis System consists of four separate stages:

  • Stage #1 – Five Micron Sediment Pre-Filter that traps particulate matter like dirt, rust, and silt that will affect the taste and appearance of your water.
  • Stage #2 – Five Micron Carbon Block Pre-Filter that helps ensure a greater reduction of chlorine and other materials that cause bad taste and odors. (The first two stages are called Pre-Filters because they filter in front of the Reverse Osmosis Membrane).
  • Stage #3 – The 50 GPD Membrane is the heart of the Reverse Osmosis System. This semi-permeable membrane will effectively reduce TDS (total dissolved solids), Sodium and a wide range of contaminants such as Lead, Percolate, Chromium, Copper and Radium. It will also remove over 99.95% cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
  • Stage #4 – Five Micron Carbon Post-Filter (105341) which is used as a final polishing filter. It is important that this system is properly installed and maintained with an incoming water pressure of 40 to 80 psi for it to operate as designed.

The filtered water passes through the membrane and enters the storage tank. When you’re ready for a taste, it will leave the storage tank and pass through the fourth stage on its way up to the faucet. The end result? Crystal clear, high quality, and great tasting water!
